About The Art ----
Another fan art for my current obsession. I love these rock mates a lot, and I wanted to revisit what I first thought to be their favorite places which can be seen at an early episode when Steven wanted to know how to summon his gem weapon which turned out to be a shield. I reckon if we ever went back to Pearl's tree, it would have regrown a small but nice little sapling.
Technical Subject ----
So, I tried a little something different this time (apart from the background, I'll get to that in a jiffy). You may have noticed I took a slightly different approach to my line-work and used harder hues of each subject's coloring instead of my previous schlock with just using black lines to present hard surfaces while using light hues to present soft surfaces like flesh and hair. I'd really like some constructive feedback down here at the comments, and to help you help me, here is a comparative material to use:

Now, the matter of background, should I try more or less? Yea I kind of still don't know what I'm doing or want, but if anyone wants to le me in how they pipeline to getting that concept, please share!

Oh btw, I want to ask a somewhat difficult question. At my current state do you think you and the people can be interested ever in requesting commissions from me? I personally want to take my experiences to higher levels, but as it stands I am unemployed, at the grace of kind folks and working with gear that are at least half a decade old.
